Fundraising

The Playgroup also arranges social events for parents and carers and welcomes any parental involvement. There is involvement in other aspects of village life such as the carnival during the summer and entering exhibits for the garden shows. We hold coffee mornings and summer and winter fayres. We also make several trips during the year, such as to the beach, fire station and fun parks. We also work closely with the village school.

As we are a charity we rely heavily on extra money generated by our fundraising activities. We are always interested in good quality bric-a-brac for these events and volunteers are always welcomed to help out with our activities.

If you would like to help raise money for our playgroup or indeed have any items of interest we may sell at a forth-coming event please email us.

  • Winter Fair - January 2008
We've kicked off to a great start this year with our Winter Fair at the village hall, raising nearly £600. An enormous thank you to the playgroup staff (Sue, Liz, Bev, Anne-Marie and Kelly) and to the parents who helped run the event. Especial thanks to Rebecca Rose for masterminding the whole business. We also would like to thank the various companies that so generously donated items to the raffle, including St Tudy Stores, Bradleys Dairy, St Kew Harvest, T J Burden, China Clay Museum, Cornish Arms, Hengar Manor, The Old Inn, Bodmin Herb and Plant Nursery, and many more. And finally, thank you to everyone who came and bought!
